A Psychologist is licensed by the College of Psychologists of Ontario. They provide psychotherapy and diagnose mental health conditions. A Psychologist has a masters or doctoral degree in Psychology.

Some Psychologists have the term "supervised practice" after their title. This means that they are a registered member of the College of Psychologists of Ontario and are completing their final year of supervised practice before becoming an autonomous Psychologist. Their clinical services are provided under, and covered by, the license of their supervising psychologist.


Psychotherapist

Psychotherapists are licensed by one of the following regulatory colleges in Ontario: the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario, the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW), the Ontario College of Nurses, or the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario. Psychotherapists have advanced training in mental health treatment and provide psychotherapy.

Reza Rejahiyan is a registered psychotherapist licensed by the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. He provides psychotherapy to adults, teens, and couples presenting with a range of conditions.

Reza is a dedicated therapist who provides a safe, respectful, non-judgmental, and supportive atmosphere where clients will feel valued and heard. He is passionate about healing people who have been through traumatic and stressful life experiences. He helps clients from various socioeconomic, linguistic, and cultural backgrounds. Dr. Shahrami is a clinical psychologist providing treatment and diagnostic assessment.

Dr. Shahrami works with children, older teens, and adults with a wide range of mental health conditions such as anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), depression, life stress, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), ADHD, and autism spectrum disorder. He also works with First Responders and WSIB claimants.

Dr. Shahrami’s main approach is cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), but he also uses other approaches such as eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), motivational interviewing, and solution focused therapy.

He completed a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology (Psy.D) at the California Southern University. He has about 30 years experience providing psychological treatment and assessments in both hospital and private settings.

Areas of Practice

Jenna provides psychotherapy to teens and adults with regard to depression, anxiety, trauma, autism, ADHD, addictions, and complex mental health. She incorporates mindfulness, dialectic behaviour therapy (DBT) skills training, and cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT) in her work.

Training & Experience

Jenna completed her Master of Arts degree in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. In addition, she has completed a bachelor of arts degree in Communication Studies from McMaster University.

Jenna is a student member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. Jenna has completed training in mindfulness and self-compassion at McMaster University Continuing Studies, Trauma Informed Care, and Cultural Considerations for Assessing Indigenous Youth and their Families.

Jenna has worked at the Reach Out Centre for Kids (ROCK) as a specialized consultation program assistant, where she gained exposure to working with teens, parents, and dealing with complex family dynamics. Carolyn Golden is a registered Social Worker, Psychotherapist providing psychotherapy to children, teens, adults, couples, and families. ###Areas of Practice### Carolyn Golden has an extensive amount of crisis-oriented and outpatient experience for over 15 years. She has training in trauma informed psychotherapy approaches, including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), and emotionally focused therapy (EFT).

Among other specialties like mood disorders, substance use disorder, and suicidal ideation, Carolyn is a trauma specialist with extensive training in a variety of settings (police services, child welfare, mental health clinics). Carolyn takes pride in providing evidence-based interventions.

Carolyn participated as a research assistant in the Canadian Incidence Study of Reported Child Abuse and Neglect, 2008 (CIS-2008). As a registered nurse, Zoey can provide her clients with medication education and psychoeducation regarding interactions between health conditions and mental health.

Zoey completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Ryerson University (now the Toronto Metropolitan University) in 2012.
